Cairo Marriot Hotel
Overview

Overview

The Cairo Marriott in Zamalek started life as Gezirah Palace.   It was built specifically to house the guests who came from all over the world for the opening of the Suez Canal in 1869.  And it replicated the home of Princess Eugenie, the wife of Napoleon 3rd to make sure she enjoyed her brief stay.

Today, it is one of the most iconic and outstanding hotels in Cairo.  It’s located in the Zamalek Island district, next to the Nile and offers a unique experience combining ancient grandeur with modern amenities. The hotel boasts 1,087 rooms and suites with a level of luxury which is infused in every aspect of its service and amenities.
