The museum captures the essence of both the pharaohs influence over Egypt but also the impact of both Christianity and Islam in shaping what Egypt is today. Over the last 2 years, the most notable of antiquities have been transferred to NMEC and the once diverse locations of artifacts of ancient Egypt are now complete histories within the museum. And central to this are the mummies of the most famous pharaohs in all Egypt which now reside at the museum.
