✨ Did you know that the Holy Family stopped at twenty-five points during their journey through Egypt? Each of these sites is now home to churches, monasteries, and Coptic icons. Mary, Joseph, and Jesus’ search for refuge from King Herod is a significant part of Egyptian history. During their stay in Old Cairo, the Holy Family rested in a cave for three months, and a church was built over this sacred site. This church not only houses the Holy Family’s resting place, but also the well from which they drank.
